Annapolis Royal — dating to 1605, is just over the hill from your oceanfront camp site. This quaint, historic town on the Annapolis Basin boasts restaurants & cafes, art galleries, craft and antique shops, a waterfront boardwalk, a lively Farmer's and Traders Market each Saturday, and the King's Theater. Bear River, home to several wineries and the largest resident collection of artists and craftspeople in Nova Scotia, is a short and scenic drive from the Cove. The ecologically sensitive areas of Digby Neck and the Islands provice whale watching opportunities as well as additional locations for hiking and birding, and make for a terrific day trip. Spectacular scenery, great seafood, history, and plenty of fun are waiting for you!
