Annapolis Royal — dating to 1605, is just over the hill from your oceanfront camp site.  This quaint, historic town on the Annapolis Basin boasts restaurants & cafes, art galleries, craft and antique shops, a waterfront boardwalk, a lively Farmer's and Traders Market each Saturday, and the King's Theater.

Bear River, home to the largest resident collection of artists and craftspeople in Nova Scotia, is a short and scenic drive from the Cove, and Digby Neck and the Islands, boasting hiking, birding, and whale watching opportunities, make for a terrific day trip.
